These terms govern your use of SmartTaxi services. By booking a journey with us you agree to be bound by them. This is a demonstration document — please replace with terms drafted by qualified counsel before going live.
1. The Service
SmartTaxi acts as a booking agent connecting passengers with licensed private hire operators across the UK. All vehicles are operated by drivers licensed by the appropriate local authority.
2. Quotes & Pricing
Quotes generated by our system are fixed for the journey described. The price you confirm at booking is the price you pay; no surge pricing applies. Additional waiting time, additional stops or substantial route changes after booking may incur additional charges, agreed with you in advance where possible.
3. Cancellations
- Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.
- Cancellations within 24 hours of pickup: 50% of the fare.
- No-shows: full fare.
4. Liability
SmartTaxi is not liable for missed flights or onward travel where the customer has provided insufficient time, an incorrect address or where delay is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
5. Conduct
Drivers may refuse service or terminate a journey where a passenger is abusive, intoxicated to the point of risk, or where there is reasonable concern for safety.
6. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
